In recent years, there has been emerging evidence showing the need for integration of WASH and nutrition programmes in order to achieve greater impact (e.g. on reduced stunting and open defecation) in both emergency and development contexts. SDG 2 (End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture) and SDG 6 (Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all) articulate the need for achieving sustainable and optimal WASH and nutrition outcomes.
IDEAL Public Health and Development Consultancy (IPHDC) has planned to conduct a training on synergized WASH and Nutrition programming in order to strengthen capacities of decision-makers and implementers to achieve effective integration of WASH and nutrition specific programmes.
By the end of the training, trainees will be able to develop and manage synergized WASH and nutrition programmes.
Programme staff of humanitarian and development agencies including project managers, officers and assistants.
A balanced combination of various adult-learning facilitation paradigms will be used including exploratory learning, group discussions, plenary brainstorming, facilitator’s input, case studies and video documentaries among others.
The training cost is US$ 550 and it covers the tuition fees, learning materials, certification, meals and refreshments at the training venue. Further information will be provided upon inquiry.
Accommodation will be arranged upon request by applicants. However, the charges will be borne by the individual participant.
We can provide your organization a tailor-made training with similar content but addressing your specific capacity needs. In case you want to explore this option, you can contact us to share with you a proposal for that training.
