In development and humanitarian work, effective data management and the ability to make decisions are central to successful project implementation. This course provides participants with practical experience in Kobo Collect, Advanced Excel, and Power BI—three powerful digital tools that address all stages of any project.
Kobo Collect enables organizations to design and deploy digital surveys for real-time data collection in the field, improving the quality and timeliness of needs assessments, monitoring, and evaluations. Advanced Excel enables efficient data cleaning, transformation and analysis. Power BI enables dynamic data visualization and analysis, allowing teams to track performance indicators and inform evidence-based decisions.
Through a combination of practical exercises and case studies, the course will enable participants to develop log frames, conduct stakeholder analysis, and design interactive dashboards, enhancing both reporting and planning competencies for projects. The course is most appropriate for those who aim to enhance transparency, accountability, learning and effectiveness in development and emergency project management.
